The University of Minnesota (UMN) is undertaking a global convergence lab in January 2019 in Puerto Rico through the Resilience through Innovation in Sustainable Energy (RISE) network. An interdisciplinary group of UMN students and faculty are collaborating with the University of Puerto Rico - Mayaguez, the Instituto Nacional de Energía y Sostenibilidad Isleña (INESI), Puerto Rican non-profits, companies, and other practitioners to learn about the ongoing energy transition underway in the wake of Hurricane Maria.
